“Frank’s” Story

“Frank’s” cancer required treatment at a hospital in Pittsburgh.  He and his wife had no way to afford the minimal fee charged to stay at the hospital’s guesthouse, so they went to Catholic Charities.  They met with a compassionate staff member who was able to provide funds for housing, money for gas to make the drive to Pittsburgh and assistance with his prescription medications.  Catholic Charities was also able to make local referrals on Frank’s behalf for food and other services to help his family through this crisis.  Just one way Catholic Charities is able to change lives…one family at a time.
