rodriguez-ernestoFather Ernesto Rodriguez began with Catholic Charities as Diocesan Coordinator of Hispanic Ministry in October of 2016.  As Diocesan Coordinator of Hispanic Ministry, Father Rodriguez will be provide leadership, inspiration and assistance to hose ministering to diverse communities throughout the Diocese and actively assist the Hispanic Catholic communities of the diocese in their journey towards full participation in the life of the local church from the parish level to the diocesan level.

Prior to joining Catholic Charities, Father Rodriguez journey included time in the Virgin Islands, where he was a seminarian and studied at St. Vincent Seminary in Latrobe, Pa.  Father Rodriguez was ordained by in June 2011 by Bishop Murry at St. Columba.   He is encouraged to see the growth of the Hispanic community in the diocese.

Outside of ministry, Father Rodriguez enjoys chess.  He prefers to play against “very good opponents” and uses a timer when he plays.  He also enjoys going to movies and traveling.
