The Office of Social Action works with parish staff to develop social concerns committees which deal with services, advocacy, housing/neighborhood issues, global affairs, legislative activities, criminal justice/prison ministries, migration and refugee ministries, and other justice and peace initiatives.
The Office of Social Action is the local contact for the following national ministries of the Catholic Church: Catholic Campaign for Human Development, Catholic Relief Services, Disaster Response, Migration & Refugee Services, Social Development and World Peace, Science and Values. The Office works in close cooperation with the Diocese of Youngstown Office of Marriage, Family and Pro-Life Activities.
