On September 12, 2012, a young woman came into the Catholic Charities office dragging a huge bin behind her. She said she belonged to a local parish and had read in the bulletin that Catholic Charities was in great need of baby clothing for their First Step program. She opened the bin and it was full of baby clothes!
She went on to explain that her parents adopted her from Catholic Charities 35 years ago. She wanted to help us out by donating her daughters’ baby clothes as a way of saying “thank you.” There were over one hundred items of clothing.
The Catholic Charities staff is so grateful to this young woman for her generosity. Donations such as these allow us to continue to give assistance to those in our community who are in need. During these difficult times, we are even more dependent upon our community for it’s generosity and support. Every donation is greatly appreciated!
May you continue to have a blessed Easter season as we take time to reflect, pray, and give thanks!
