Mommy’s House

“Kim” and her boyfriend “John” lost their jobs and had used all of the money they had available to take care of their basic needs….which included Kim’s daughter, Alexis.

The family was in danger of losing their home.  Kim and John came to Catholic Charities for help.  A counselor provided the family with some food vouchers and other necessities to help in the moment.

Catholic Charities was also able to help the family using Homelessness Prevention and Rapid Re-housing (HPRP) dollars in order to save their home.

Both Kim and John are back to work now and financially back on track.  Alexis was so thankful to Catholic Charities for “saving her mommy’s house” that she sent in this drawing:

Alexis’ drawing touched all of us very much!  It is wonderful to see Catholic Charities’ programs and resources at work!
