Summer Safety

SUMMER SAFETY TIPS….

From our doors, to yours!

Summer time can be fun, but it can also be stressful.  The kids are out of school.  If you work, where do your kids go?  If  you are unemployed, it can be more difficult to afford those summer extras (vacation, entertainment, food).  Summer can even be a lonely time for those without friends and family near.

Don’t struggle alone!  The programs and services offered through our Catholic Charities offices can help.  Some of the programs available are:

  • Adult Day Services
  • Case Management and Outreach
  • Domestic Violence Services
  • Emergency Assistance
  • Family Support Services
  • Literacy Classes
  • Parenting Skills Training
  • Senior Multi-Purpose Center
  • Senior Support

This class will teach your 11-13 year olds safe babysitting practices such as:

    1. Basic First Aid
    2. Rescue Breathing
    3. What do do if a child is choking
    4. Accident Prevention
    5. Childcare tips
    6. How/When to call for help
